Autodesk Inventor importer, DWG importer, IGES 5.3 import and export (surface-based IGES (144/142/128); developed and maintained actively since 1988 by Robert Lansdale of Okino), Solid Edge import and SolidWorks import
Okino has been actively involved with developing our own CAD converters starting in 1988, with IGES, DXF, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor and XGL taking much of our focus and attention. We don't "write" converters but rather "nurture" them over years and years to handle all varieties of data that our customers often send our way. For example, our IGES importer, developed and actively maintained by Okino's Robert Lansdale since 1988, is one of the fastest and most refined IGES importers available today, and has formed the core of many CAD conversion pipelines for Okino customers (such as IGES sourced from ProE, CATIA, UG, etc). We have also been proactive in developing the first set useable and refined CAD data to non-CAD-program conversion pipelines (such as CAD to MAX, Maya, XSI, Soft-3D, Lightwave, Cinema-4D and others) all based on real world customer conversion requirements.
The Okino CAD/Pack (and its IGES-WIN predecessor) has been a staple add-on product used to convey CAD data into Okino's stand-alone PolyTrans & NuGraf packages, as well as PolyTrans-for-MAX, PolyTrans-for-Maya, PolyTrans-for-XSI, PolyTrans-for-Director, and others. Each converter was written by Okino with the use of third party licensed CAD toolkits for data processing (such as the industry standard OpenDWG toolkit for processing of DWG encoded files).
