REALVIZ
ImageModeler is the solution to measure and create 3D scenes using
photographs.
Using advanced algorithms, REALVIZ ImageModeler extracts 3D information
from stills to help you measure the 3D space created and construct
accurate 3D models with highly realistic textures. The resulting model
can be exported in your favorite authoring package.
All that Imagemodeler needs to work is some photographs of an object or scene.
The user shoots several photographs (at least two) of his object seen from different points of view.
You take the photographs with a typical consumer digital camera: no special camera is needed.
Once you have your photographs, the use of Imagemodeler is very simple, and follows a four to five step workflow:
1. Load images
Import at least 2 or more photos shot in sequence.
ImageModeler supports the most common image formats (jpg, tiff and others).
2. Calibrate all photos
Find and place common features in the photographs (about 9 to 20 features).
ImageModeler will automatically calibrate your cameras (position, rotation, focal length, distortion).
3. Create your models
Model your scene or object using standard polygon model tools, from create faces from points to extrude and many others.
4. Extract textures
Extract textures per face, or unfolded single textures.
3. Measure
Measure distances and angles in your scene.
5. Export
Export your objects, textures.
