Enabling Multi-Channel Video Capture
The Osprey-450e is a PCI Express card designed to simultaneously capture 4 individual channels of analog video and unbalanced stereo audio signals and process them independently minimizing internal PC space requirements. The channel density enabled by the Osprey-450e allows fewer computer systems to be used for capture of a given number of channels, dramatically reducing total system cost.
The Osprey-450e includes additional internal video inputs and 4 additional balanced audio inputs that can be switched in as alternatives to the rear panel connectors. The internal video inputs include the selection of component or Y/C (S-Video) for each of the 4 channels.
Familiar features of other Osprey multimedia-class cards have been retained, including options for Osprey SimulStream® cropping, logo overlay, and VBI data extraction. Multiple cards may be used in a single system chassis. The Osprey-450e is compatible with the Osprey SDK for development of media applications supporting DirectShow®.

Multiple Streams per Input
Purchase the Osprey-450e with Osprey SimulStream and feed audio and video to multiple encoders at the same time. Use it with ViewCast Niagara SCX® to easily create and manage live streams in RealNetworks®, Windows Media®, Adobe® Flash® Video, and MPEG-4 at the same time, in any combination. Or create multiple streams of the same type with completely independent settings for sizing, scaling, logos, and bit rate.
Global Standards Support
Like all Osprey cards, the Osprey-450e supports global analog standard-definition formats, including NTSC, PAL, and most others used throughout the world. If you are a global OEM integrator seeking a single-solution deployment strategy, this card’s for you.

Features like color space conversion, automatic telecine detection and processing, and automatic optimization for changing motion content make this a perfect choice for broadcast professionals. We’ve added broadcaster-requested features like Loss of Video Detection that lets you automatically substitute internally-generated SMPTE colorbars with an optional text overlay.
