Sony, the worlds leading robotic camera manufacturer, has strengthened its leadership position in High Definition PTZ solutions with the release of an affordable High Definition camera, the EVI-HD3V. The EVI-HD3V brings the best in Sony’s strong heritage on PTZ mechanics together with superb HD picture quality at up to 720p/60. The EVI-HD3V provides an optimised HD camera option for application environments where the desire is for a mid-range solution or where infrastructure limitations exist. It is ideally suited to videoconferencing, broadcasting, distance learning and other audio/visual applications.
Superb Picture Quality
The EVI-HD3V employs a 1/3-type HD CMOS delivering highly detailed and vivid images, transforming the video experience.
Multi-Format Video Outputs including Full HD
The EVI-HD7V provides High Definition at up to 720/60p. Depending on your application and infrastructure possibilities the EVI-HD3V has the flexibility, providing 4 selectable HD video output options in progressive scan. The EVI-HD3V can also support VGA mode for added migration support.
High Quality Image Transmission
The EVI-HD3V is equipped with a DVI-D interface that is designed to maximise the high video quality of today’s digital displays. This digital interface is capable of displaying both digital and analogue signals in Y/Pb/Pr and RGB formats.
Wide-range, Quiet and Quick Pan/Tilt Mechanism
The EVI-HD3V adopts the world-renowned direct drive motor mechanism previously seen in the EVI-HD1. As a result the camera is extremely quiet and moves smoothly and very quickly to desired positions, covering a wide shooting range.
Maximum pan speed = 300 degrees per second (range +/- 100 degrees)
Maximum tilt speed = 125 degrees per second (range +/- 125 degrees)
10x Optical (40x with Digital Zoom)
The EVI-HD3V has a maximum zoom ratio of 40x. The high performance lens supports a fast and stable autofocus capability enabling sharp and intricately featured objects to be captured quickly and clearly.
Wide Angle of View (70 degrees)
The EVI-HD3V incorporates a wide-angle lens for wide field of view image capture, an advantage for small to medium conference rooms.
RS-232C Remote control (VISCA protocol)
All Camera settings and pan/tilt/zoom control functions can be performed remotely at high communication speeds via the RS-232C interface VISCA protocol.
Six-Position Presets
Up to 6 preset values for pan/tilt/zoom, focus position, exposure mode and white balance mode can be stored in the camera. The camera can retain these presets even when switched off.
Customisable Settings via On-screen Menu using IR Remote Commander Unit
Users are able to adjust various camera settings using the IR Remote Commander Unit (supplied). The IR Remote Commander provides additional flexibility of operation and camera positioning without compromising control.
Benefits
The EVI-HD3V provides superb affordable HD quality at up to 720/60p. The world renowned Sony EVI high quality PTZ mechanism as seen in the EVI-HD1 comes as standard. The EVI-HD3V allows optimised performance where bandwidth or infrastructure is limited.
It is designed to be used in combination with a variety of video conferencing codecs and other broadcasting/AV systems to produce high quality HD images. A number of video output formats are supported allowing flexibility subject to existing HD infrastructure in situ.
With its wide-angle field of view, built in 10x optical zoom lens, 16:9 aspect ratio, high speed & quiet PTZ operation, the EVI-HD3V can cover subjects across wide areas in a fast and discrete way, minimising disturbance.
Combining convenient features such as auto focus / auto exposure, 6 presets and external / remote control, the EVI-HD3V is ideal for applications such as videoconferencing, distance learning, houses of worship, and corporate training.
